Usually points are tallied on paper, and at the end of a series of hands the points are totaled and the winner pays the loser $X per point. Cribbage traditionally uses a cribbage board to keep score but it would be well-suited to using poker chips instead - dump two and a half racks of your favorite chip in the middle of the table and every time you would normally score a point take a chip. Gin Rummy and Cribbage are exquisite two-player card games. I guess we could each start out with a rack of chips and go from there?īut I'm open to other Zombie - tagging you as I recall you hoard games outside of the poker - I think I remember seeing a post from you about OFC in the cut card thread so may have some thoughts on this? One game that I'm reading up on is Open Face Chinese Poker, seems like chips can be used to track the points. Not hosting a regular game for a few more months yet, so hoping this will tide me over until then. There must be more generic card games out there perhaps not as focused on money, but more points based, where I can substitute chips and finally get some of the Nakatomi's into play. I'm looking for suggestions / ideas for ways to get my poker chips into play for some 2-4 player card games that is not the typical NLHE / PLO. We generally enjoy card games and play a lot at the bar when we used to away on holiday etc. Whilst my good wife understands the rules of poker there is no way we could play HU at home as the lack of strategy and bet sizes would end in us she'd never pay up if I won /joke.
